APL Biosecurity and Plant Health Event at Provender Nurseries

Date: Tuesday 11th February

This event is free of charge and open to non-APL members.

 

APL and Provender Nurseries are hosting an informative biosecurity and plant health event to discuss everything you need to know about biosecurity from a Landscaper, Garden Designer and industry point of view.

Representatives from APHA, Provender Nurseries and Mark Gregory will be giving talks on all aspects of biosecurity and the Plant Health Certification Scheme.

Provender Nurseries will discuss how and why they became Plant Healthy certified in 2021 and the importance from a supplier point of view.

Mark Gregory will be talking on the process for Landform Consultants and the importance of being Plant Healthy certified.

A representative from the government agency APHA (Animal and Plant Health Agency) will be on hand to give an overview or why it is important for Landscapers, Garden Designers and all aspects of the Horticultural Industry to be well informed of biosecurity practices.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions in the Q and A session.

  • 4:45pm - Chris Cunningham from APHA. Understanding the process of biosecurity. Why it is important to APL members to know
  • 5:00pm - talk by Provender Nurseries on becoming Plant Healthy, Biosecurity and Control Point
  • 5:30 - 5:45pm - break
  • 5:45pm - Mark Gregory talk on becoming Plant Healthy
  • 6:30pm - Q and A session for Mark Gregory, Stuart Tickner and Chris Cunningham
  • 7:00pm - close
