Agastache 'Kudos Gold'
Description: An attractive, fast growing perennial which forms a thick, compact, upright mound with bright green aromatic foliage. Large flower spikes with dark orange buds that open to paler orange-gold flowers from midsummer until autumn which are attractive to bees and butterflies.
Uses: Good in the front of a border or in a patio container either as an individual specimen or mixed with other plants.
Climate/Position: Full sun
Height/Spread: 45cm x 50cm
Soil Requirements: Moist well-drained, well-drained.
Pruning: Cut back the faded flower-stems in autumn or leave for winter interest and cut back in spring. In colder areas, leave leaf and flower stems for winter protection and cut back in late winter or early spring.
Special Requirements: Remove spent flowers to ensure a repeat flowering.
Additional Interest: The agastache varieties from the Kudos Series are hardier than previous ones of this type are more tolerant of cold, wet winter soil. They are also resistant to downy mildew. The leaves are anise-scented.
