Centranthus ruber 'Alba Pura'
Description: A white flowered variety of the popular cottage garden plant Valarian. Forms a rounded open clump of fairly upright stems. Glaucous blue leaves and a dense clusters of tiny white flowers are produced throughout summer from May to August.
Very useful for any dry sunny situations and will even grow in dry walls.
Climate/Position: Sunny sites prefered but also tolerant of some shade.
Height/Spread: 60cm. Clump forming and self seeding.
Soil Requirements: Free draining soil. Will grow in the poorest of soils and is drought tolerant.
Pruning: Deadhead if wishing to prevent self seeding.
Cut back in winter for new spring growth
