Clematis 'Remembrance'
Description:
Large flowered hybrid which produces pretty light raspberry red flowers with textured surface and contrasting yellow stamens. A pretty free flowering variety which flowers late in the season on current seasons growth and therefore should be hard pruned early in the year before flowering.
Climate/Position: Suitable for any aspect.
Height/Spread: 2.5 metres height, compact habit.
Soil Requirements: Free draining soil. Cool roots always prefered by clematis.
Pruning: Hard prune early in the year as flowering is later in the year on the new growth which is then produced.(Group 3)
Special Requirements: To keep roots cool you can plant amongst low growing shrubs. If planting in containers, ensure the pot is large enough to ensure roots are not restricted too much.
