Iris ensata ‘Gusto’
Description: A brilliant double flowered iris with blue white striped petals with white frosted centre freely produced from June to July above sword-like foliage.
Uses: Unlike the rhizome Iris, the Japanese Iris require a moisture retentive soil and looks great planted on stream borders or other waterside areas, around pools and other water features.
Climate / Position: Full sun or partial shade.
Height / Spread: Height 90cm.
Soil Requirements: Happy in a moisture retentive acidic soil.
Pruning: Tidy leaves in autumn or before new growth in the spring.
