Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star'

Description: A very hardy and compact blue conifer. The spiky awl shaped leaves are particularly striking in spring when the new growth is silvery blue. A slow growing form which produces tufted craggy growth giving a very interesting and natural rather than dome shape.
Uses: Excellent for use in a rock garden but also useful in smaller borders and small gardens for good low growing evergreen ground cover.
Climate/Position: Any site but sunny dry positions preferred.
Height/Spread: 50 cm height x 1 metre spread
Soil Requirements: Any free draining soil
Pruning: Unlikely to be needed.
