Photinia x fraseri 'Pink Marble' PANEL
Description: A new variegated introduction of the popular evergreen shrub. The new foliage emerges a rich bright pink, softening to blue-green with creamy white splashes of variegation and a pink edge, so is very eye catching. Small white flowers in mid to late spring if left unpruned.
Uses: Supplied here trained against a panel. This cultivar is ideal for hedging and screening or as a specimen plant. Popular as an easy to grow landscaping plant.
Climate/Position: Full sun or partial shade. Some shelter advisable to avoid young shoots being scorched by late frost.
Height/Spread: Dependant on frame height and pruning regime.
Soil Requirements: Any soil but must be well drained.
Pruning: Prune at the start of the growing season in late March/early April. It will soon re-grow and then can be kept tidy by pruning as and when required. If you would like to enjoy its pink shoots in the springtime, then prune a little later in the season.
Special Requirements: Avoid exposed Easterly winds to avoid damage to young growth in spring.
