Picea pungens 'Erich Frahm'
Description: A useful smaller growing Spruce only reaching maximum of 3 metres, A broadly conical shape with horizontal brancehs covered in vibrant silvery blue needles which look fresh all year and so give year round interest. Cones give added interest on mature plants.
Uses: Valuable for using in the smaller garden as a specimen plant or in a border. Also useful as a focal point on a large rockery. Good mixing with other conifers as its shape and colour provide interesting contrast.
Climate/Position: Full sun prefered
Height/Spread: 1.5 metres after 10 years x 1 metre spread
Soil Requirements: Any free draining soil.
Pruning: Avoid pruining
Special Requirements: Allow the plant space to ensure its full shape is maintained.
