Quercus palustris 'Green Dwarf'
Description: A very slow growing form of the North American pin oak. A dense compact habit with glossy leaves that are deeply cut. This plant allows customers the opportunity to have an oak tree in the smallest garden. In autumn the leaves turn fabulous tints of autumn reds and orange especiallly in sunny position.
Uses: Ideal for the smaller garden, wet locations and container growing.
Climate/Position: Full to partial sun.
Height/Spread: 1.5 - 3 metres x 1 metre
Soil Requirements: Tolerant of wet soils and even waterlogged areas.
Pruning: Not likley to be needed apart from any shaping.
