We have some real treats in store for you. Fresh in from our own production, we have a range of 10L, 25L and 45L shrubs now in. In 10L pots, we have some excellent quality Viburnum for you.
Viburnum plicatum are handsome shrubs with tiered branches that add layers to the plant's overall structure.
We also have the deliciously named Viburnum plicatum 'Popcorn', named for the rounded popcorn-shaped flowers that are borne in large numbers in the spring. This particular variety has dark, green leathery leaves with deep veins that change to vivid red and purple before falling in the autumn. Height and spread 250cm. Popcorn is also heat and drought-tolerant, making it an excellent choice for the hotter summers and colder winters. Image 1.
As if one fabulous Viburnum plicatum was not enough we also have Viburnum plicatum 'Kilimanjaro Sunrise'. This blushing beauty was voted RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year in 2015.
The lacecap-like flowers are white flushed with light pink appearing in large numbers on the tiered branches in the early summer. This delightful choice is quite upright in appearance, with a multi-stemmed, slightly conical form to the overall plant. The flowers are complemented by dark green heart-shaped leaves that turn to fiery orange and red in the autumn. The interest continues with clusters of red berries that turn black in the autumn and winter. Height 300cm, spread 150cm. Image 2&3.
Adding subtle structure and a little drama... every planting scheme should have a Viburnum plicatum in place.
