Chaenomeles for early spring colour

Chaenomeles for early spring colour

Early to flower and about as tough as a plant comes, Chaenomeles are a real delight in the dark winter days. Flowering in the toughest of weathers and unaffected by late frosts, the flowers stand tough in the harshest winter conditions.

Some Provender favourites from our Proven Winners® range:

Mango Storm. Worth a look just for the name alone. Double soft orange flowers emerge in winter and early spring. This thornless plant will repeat flower in the summer too.

Nivalis. A favourite flowering quince due to the pure white flowers. The large white flowers are produced in late winter/early spring and are followed by yellow quince like fruits.

Orange Storm. Abundant large orange double flowers from March-April. Also reblooms early summer.

Heat tolerant, drought tolerant and hardy down to -25°C Proven Winners ® work hard so you don’t have to.
