Camellia japonica is an ever-popular plant due to the late winter/early spring colour. It is perfectly suited for growing in the ground and in containers.
Use ericaceous compost and feed after flowering with ericaceous feed.
Best in rich, acidic soil which is moist but well-drained.
Partial shade is ideal.
