From today until 4th August, spend 15 minutes outside counting butterflies and submit your records as part of a huge citizen science project.
The aim of this initiative is to assess the health of our environment through butterfly monitoring.
In honour of the Big Butterfly Count, we thought we would share some fantastic plants for butterflies with you.

- Ajuga reptans
- Erysimum 'Bowles Mauve'
- Centranthus ruber 'Albus'
- Allium
