Root ball and bare root hedging season is upon us and we have some excellent options in stock for you.
Root ball hedging
Our root ball Taxus, Thuja and Prunus are ‘heavy’ plants, ideal for creating an instant hedge and filling a space with excellent greenery.
Don’t forget to leave the hessian on when planting root ball hedging as all the good soil organisms are in the root ball. The hessian degrades naturally in the soil. To help the plants along, always use Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi to give the roots a great start.
To ease your back, we also have some root ball hooks. These really do take the heavy lifting out of moving root balls. Ideal for use on hedging and trees.
Bare root hedging is the perfect way to create mixed native hedging. Think of the birds, wildlife and pollinators that will thank you for planting a mixed hedge. We have many options available. We even have the occasional shrub choices in our options. Don’t forget to plant with Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi with Dipping Gel as this ensures close contact with the bare roots to give them the best start.
Protect your bare root hedging with the latest addition to our Going Green range, Biodegradable Tree Guards and Stakes. Robust, durable, plastic free and 100% biodegradable. These can be left on the plant and will naturally mulch down.
