Sarcococca

Sarcococca

A strong contender for scent in the winter garden, Sarcococca is a valuable evergreen addition to the border at any time of year making them a very popular choice.

Their common name is Christmas Box or Sweet Box in reference to when they flower and the strength of the scent.

The evergreen foliage is deep green, glossy and acts as the perfect foil to the incredibly highly scented cream or white flowers that appear in the late winter to early spring. They vary in height and flowering time, so with careful selection can provide scent for the coldest winter to spring for three months.

Native to the Himalayas, Sarcococca can deal with winter cold well. They love a shaded spot and are drought resistant once established.

Sniff one out, you won’t regret it. Especially as our own production Sarcococca confusa 10L are on special offer this month, normally £50.00.  20% off – NOW £40.00. Hurry, only available at this special price until the end of January.
