Betula – some different bark colours for you to choose from.

We all know Betula utilis jacquemontii with its sparkly white bark that really shines in the winter months.  Betula has a long season of interest with the winter interest, long catkins in the spring and the most fantastic yellow autumn foliage colour. 

We like to offer our customers more than the average nursery so we have in stock some of the less well known Betula, but just as appealing, in stock. 

Betula ‘Royal Frost’ - Rich burgundy foliage from spring to summer turning yellow and orange in autumn. Cinnamon to white bark. Plant in a sunny site in well-drained soil. Height and spread 8-10m

Betula albosinensis ‘Fascination’ - Smaller leaved than most Betula with orange-red coloured bark that peels when the tree is young and ages to white as the tree matures. Green yellow catkins in the spring and fantastic yellow autumn foliage colour.  Pyramidal shape with weeping branches.  Height 8-10m
