Originating in the 7^th Century in Japan, Hanami is now internationally recognised as national festival during the season of ‘The Bloom of Cherry Blossoms’.  When the Cherry Blossoms bloom the parks and gardens of the city are inundated with tourists and locals all admiring the cherry blossoms with tea ceremonies and traditional Japanese performing arts adding to the atmosphere.
