Alyogyne are impossible to pronounce but don’t let that put you off.  A member of the Malvaceae family the similarity to Lavatera and Malva are immediately obvious when you see the flower.  Evergreen foliage and showy flowers in the spring to summer.  Best in a sunny position in a well-drained soil. 

Alyogyne hakeifolia Melisa Anne has a naturally rounded habit with large pink flowers with red throats to the petals.  The flowers are freely produced over a long period from spring through to late summer. 

Alyogyne cuneiformis is an evergreen upright shrub with a slightly arching form.  The leaves are dark green in colour and rough to the touch.  Large white flowers with a dark red centre are freely produced over a long period from spring through to late summer.
