Looking for some unusual winter foliage colour. Loropetalum is just the ticket

Loropetalum Black Pearl is an unusual plant choice being evergreen with dark purple foliage.  In the winter months the dark purple foliage really stands out amidst the surrounding shrubs with bare stems or green foliage.

A member of the same family of plants as Hamamelis, Loropetalum has the same exotic looking, fragrant, spider-like flowers in early spring that are bright pink in colour and contrast perfectly against the glossy purple foliage.

Loropetalum can be used in beds and borders and in low maintenance gardens. Plant in moist but well-drained clay soil. Needs partial shade / full sun.

Available in a wide choice of shapes and sizes, add a Loropetalum to your planting plans for that something a little bit different.
