Delicate, dainty and long lasting flowers make Thalictrum a go to plant for an easy to grow herbaceous perennial providing interest from June and continually through the summer months.
Being tall, Thalictrum adds height to borders and planting schemes. A light breeze will create movement of the abundant flowers held high on the stems.
The foliage is usually glaucous in appearance and again as delicate as the flowers are. Thalictrum continue to provide interest through the autumn as the foliage is attractive as it dies back and the seedheads that remain after the spent flowers.
Plant Thalictrum with purple leaf shrubs, grey leaf shrubs, grasses and late summer flowering perennials for best effect.
