Thalictrum have extremely dainty flowers which are held aloft textured foliage creating a soft, airy effect. Almost a plant you can see directly through.
The tiny flowers range in colour from white, fluffy pink to purple on upright sturdy but delicate stems reaching between 1.2m to 2m dependent on variety.
An excellent choice for partial shade where it will nestle in happily amongst Hosta and Dryopteris for the ultimate Cottage garden style planting. Thalictrum can also be used for attracting wild life to the garden with both bees and butterflies paying the flowers a regular visit.
