The foliage of Hamamelis in the autumn just has to be seen to be believed. The leaf in autumn proves that nature truly is a wonderful thing to behold.
Although Hamamelis are recognised for their spidery, scented flowers in the spring they do also take on a new lease of life in the autumn when vivid rainbow stripes of autumn colour adorn the plant I profusion. It is almost as if you can see the chlorophyll being sucked from the leaves.
