It is not long now folks…..Magnolias are budding up ready to POP and bring some magic to the world. 

So many Magnolia to choose from and let us be honest if we had a big enough space, we would probably plant one of each.  If you have to select one or two for a project then we have highlighted a few Magnolia from our extensive stock range that may be just what you are looking for or that Magnolia you did not know you were looking for!

Something a little special

Throwing the Spotlight On a few specials we have nestled in the Magnolia bed:

• Magnolia acuminata Blue Opal has blue-green buds that open to small flowers with a blue hue to the outer petals and yellow inner petals.  

• Magnolia Aphrodite has stunning magenta-red flowers on bare branches in

• Magnolia Columnar Pink forms a narrow columnar tree with deep pink tulip-like flowers that fade to a delicate shade of pink

• Magnolia George Henry Kern has the added bonus of polished red-brown mahogany like bark and a long flowering period from April through until June with light rose-pink flowers   

• Magnolia Sunrise has pure white flowers with a triangular flash of pink at the base of each petal gradually extending upwards 

• Magnolia Tikitere has 20-30cm large vase-shaped flowers that are pink on the outside and white on the interior 

• Magnolia wilsonii is truly stunning with drooping white flowers with a dark crimson centre

• Magnolia x leobneri Wildcat has double layers of petals that are almost chrysanthemum -like and white in colour reaching 12cm across
