Flowering Cherry or Ornamental Cherry are grown for their wonderful spring display of delicate blooms in abundance known as Hanami in Japan.
During Hanami, the perfect Prunus blooms are celebrated as a traditional custom with regular updates to the nation on the best blooms and where to see them.
We can do the same here at Provender Nurseries with an array to choose from all on one site and all in stock now.
With such a great choice on site, today we will throw the spotlight on white flowering options:
• Shirofogun is also known as the Tibetan or Paperbark Cherry. Pink buds open to white then pink flowers. Emerging leaves are bronze aging to green with spectacular autumn colour
• Shirotae or the Mount Fuji Cherry has very large semi-double, white fragrant flowers held in pendulous clusters. Flat topped tree with a spreading habit
• Shogetsu is also known as Blushing Bride due to the frilly double pink and white flowers held in pendulous clusters. Emerging foliage is bronze-green turning orange-red in the autumn
• Snow Showers has masses of white flowers. Weeping habit.
• Tia-haku or the Great White Cherry has clusters of single white flowers in profusion. Young coppery foliage.
