Fresh in stock from our collaboration with Hadlow students are some very statuesque Musa basjoo. Hardy in the UK climate and fabulous when in leaf, a Musa basjoo reminds of the foreign holidays that elude us at the moment.
All Musa are herbaceous in nature, dying back in the winter months and unfurling into growth with large paddle shaped leaves in the spring continuing through the summer. The tropical bright green foliage unfurls bringing a tropical feel to the border.
Also in stock is Musa sikkimensis Red Tiger which has purple- red midribs to the leaves and irregular red- purple splashes of colour to the leaf. This delight Musa reaches approx. 3m in height.
