Many of you know that we have quiet a few Richards on site.
We have a sneaky suspicion that one of them has been plant buying as we happened across this rather lovely dwarf Pine yesterday called Richard. Pinus nigra Richard.
An interesting little plant that is slow growing, compact columnar habit with grey-black bark. Densely branched habit. Buds are light brown, almost white in winter. Dark green needles are held in pairs. Light grey-brown to grey-yellow cones in April - May. Height after 10 years 1.2m, spread 40cm
