Some people love Fuschia for their blousy flowers and gaudy colours while these attributes sometimes leave others cold. Fuchsia Hawkeshead is pretty much loved by all with it’s dainty slender white to very light pink flowers.
Hawkeshead has a long flowering period starting in June and happily producing its elegant flowers through to October.
Reaching 1m in height and 50cm spread it is a great choice for late summer colour in a mixed border or even as an informal hedge.
Happy in full sun to partial shade, feed with slow release fertiliser in late spring, mulch in the autumn, prune back to a framework in the spring and let nature do the rest.
